About Me and Contact

Even though I tend to resist "CHANGE", it is inevitable.

The show, "Flip This House", is my inspiration for this blog.  It is a show about renovating a house that is in terrible condition and then resold for potentially (hopefully!) a profit.  I love this show because seeing the end result of hard work and change is so satisfying.  It takes courage to make changes to our comfortable routines in our daily lives.  However, there is nothing better than the sense of pride one feels after taking steps to change for the better.

My blog, Fourth Grade Flipper, is about my constant journey of change and growth as a fourth grade teacher.  Born, raised, and educated in New York, I will begin my 15th year teaching this fall in a small rural school district.  I spent 8 years in sixth grade, primarily teaching math and social studies, and I just finished my 6th year in fourth grade.  The blogging world has opened my eyes to so many new possibilities and I am excited to see where the ideas and inspiration I gain will take me and my students!

I live with my wonderful husband, two beautiful children (Lilly, 7 years old and Charlie, 4 years old), and two shih-tzus, Aussie and Porter.  They keep me on my toes everyday and I am so blessed!  We also spend a lot of time with extended family, most of which we are very fortunate to have live close by.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and I hope you will follow along on this journey of change and growth with me!

I am looking forward to reading about both your school ideas and your home ideas! Welcome to the blog world! I am still fairly new myself, but if you ever have any questions or need help, feel free to email me! :)

I love the wealth of knowledge that I can find on your blog! I have a personal blog that I've had for about a year, but my new teaching blog is brand new territory! There's not much there yet, but I'd love for you to visit my new site!

I'm planning some fun things to come on this blog!!!!
