Saturday Snapshots (randomness at its finest!)

Whew...the weeks are just flying by! I am slowly crossing items off my to-do list, but not fast enough (is it ever fast enough?).  One item on my to-do list is to link up with Run! Miss Nelson's Got the Camera for her fun linky, Saturday Snapshots.
I have enjoyed browsing everyone's random pictures each week and am finally linking up!
Now with my new iPhone, it is so much easier to take random pictures throughout the week.

Warning: If you are looking for something teaching related, I apologize! :)  I am writing this post in the wee hours of the night and cannot really think clearly.  I spent a few hours in the morning at school today or technically, yesterday (Friday), and started tackling one of my file cabinets, then went to lunch with my mom and did a little shopping, went back to school for another hour, rushed home (leaving papers all over the desk) because my sister was stopping by to visit, and finally went back to school after putting the kids to bed at 8:30 and stayed until I walked out with maintenance at 11:30 pm.
At 10:45, they had started moving everything from my room into the hallway (talk about my luck that I would have the ONE room in the building that would be moved in the hallway tonight for floor waxing!).
The good news?  I was able to get everything cleaned off my desk and three out of four drawers organized!  When I go back to school in two weeks, my floor will be waxed and I can start organizing.  I have big plans for my classroom library makeover. :)  Stay tuned!

My week in pictures:
My third order of books from Amazon arrived this week.  It's an addiction, I tell ya!!
Our campground celebrated "Halloween in July" and before trick or treating at the campsites, we played fun games.  Here is my daughter putting cheese balls on a girl who is wearing a shower cap covered in shaving cream!
I surprised the hubby with a riding lawn mower.  He has only wanted one since 2003 and it used to take him almost two hours to mow.  Now, it will be done lickety split!!  He was super surprised when I called him over the the neighbor's garage and raised the door open. :)
Here is our newest addition, Porter, passed out on the couch.
He is the Cutest. Puppy. Ever. I think.
I picked up some used chapter books for $.25 each at a local sale.  Score!
The result of shoe shopping with my mom for a wedding we are attending tonight.  Love!!
Have a great Saturday everyone!

  1. Porter is adorable! My husband wants a ride-on mower (I think it's a guy thing), but our yard is tiny!

  7. Porter is adorable! I can totally relate to the picture of your Amazon order! My husband made the remark that it must be getting close to the end of summer vacation because the UPS guy has been leaving a lot more boxes from Amazon on our doorstep.
