I went to school several times hoping that...
A. the hot laminator would be fixed (even though it is ancient and smells terrible...I am desperate)
B. the cold laminator would have a refill supply loaded (it has been empty for months and I guess there won't be any more refills???...I don't like how it laminates anyway but, hey, did I mention that I am desperate?)
So, I kept thinking that I should just get my own laminator to have at home but didn't want to spend a fortune. Then, I saw Farley's post and had to check out the laminator she bought. It was only $31 with 20 laminating pockets included!! I bought it on the spot. I cannot wait!
This is the one I bought...click on picture for link:
I always need more books for my classroom. Especially after viewing all the pictures of your lovely classroom libraries, I am feeling my library is quite inadequate:) Definitely need to beef up the nonfiction too.

I covet your laminator--but I guess I could use some of my amazon points and get my own!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog via Pinterest...I love when I find fourth grade teachers. I look forward to following you!
ReplyDeleteAt my first school, teachers weren't allowed to use the laminator, we had to have a certain TA do it for us. Luckily my current school seems to have a good supply of laminate, and we are allowed to use it.

Jealous that you have 32 days left. I'm down to 15. Are you loving your new laminator? I am this close to breaking down and buying one, too.
ReplyDeleteI got the one at Walmart for 24$, and it is fantastic!! It only comes with 2 laminating pouches, but you can get them at a pretty decent price at BJ's or Sam's club. My roommate laughs at me for all the laminating and cricuting I've done, but I just keep reminding him that soon he willl be begging me to do it all for him too!

Love my laminator! Wouldn't know what I would do without it! Quick question..I read on another blog that you have a Mac...how do you link to Currently? My daughter who is a junior couldn't even figure it out...if you have a step by step process I would appreciate it...I would love to do Currently as well.
ReplyDeleteI am a new blogger just like your self.
Thank you.
Debbie
Hey, responding to the comment you left on my blog!
ReplyDeleteDid you download the other program that Gimp prompts you to download called XQuartz? Gimp needs that to open for some reason. I have a Mac, too, and it took a long time to open. If you did that, then I'm not sure what the issue is!
